Description

After a 30 year career at a correctional officer at the penitentiary in St. John’s David Harvey has written a history of the 150-year-old structure. The Pen, as it is known, was first occupied on August 24, 1859, at which time it was still incomplete. Today, it remains the only medium/maximum security institution in Newfoundland and Labrador.
