Description
Master storyteller Earl Pilgrim relates the tragic story of Josephine O’Brien of Cape Broyle and Herb Spratt of St. John’s. Herb was a gunner aboard HMS Rodney, a British battleship that played a leading role in the World War Two sinking of the German battleship Bismarck. Josephine O’Brien was from Cape Broyle and met Herb when she came to work in St. John’s. That was a beginning which ultimately led to tragedy.
