David and Ean Parsons are a father and son writing team from St. John’s, NL. Ean, a practicing physician, says their book is a labour of love about a subject central to Newfoundland’s history, a project of remembrance and documentation to bring together diverse information, some of it collected by others, and much original research. He says his father was the driving
force in the book. David, a retired physician, credits his son’s relentless searching for information and his contributing much information to helping with every aspect of the writing of this book.
