Lloyd’s book entitled “My Life For What It’s Worth” (DRC Publishing 2014) was about growing up on Twillingate Island to age 15. This book tells of the next phase of his life’s journey. Going to Toronto and later a return to Newfoundland for good. On returning to Newfoundland, Lloyd married and settled in St. John’s where he built a successful business, L.G. Colbourne Electronics Ltd. and later a film and video company, Colbourne Productions Ltd. Lloyd did the first series of television shows ever produced by an independent producer in this province. His prime series ” Newfoundland Outdoors” ran on CBC-TV from 1979 to 1995. Lloyd wrote, directed, filmed and produced the series. He also recorded and edited all the sound and hosted the shows that are still available on DVD. Oh, almost forgot, Lloyd also started a tuna fishing business in Notre Dame.
